I am TTC for almost two months now (after coming off the Pill).
I heard about Robitussin and after doing some research i felt it couldnt hurt to try.

So i took it for the past week just twice per day, finished yesterday because i didnt notice any substantial mucus at all down there and usually there is... like im not getting any.

Ovulation should be today or tomorrow (dont know my exact cycle duration as ive just come off the pill).

ANyway im really worried about the absence of any mucus!

Anyone got any ideas or anything?

I feel like ive ruined my chances for this month!

Well few woman actually ever know that the lack of cervical mucus can actually cause infertility. I had the same problem becuase of Clomid Im currently taking. What really works great is, 4-6 capsules of evening Primrose Oil everyday from cycle day one of your period until the day you ovulate. You dont want to take this after Ovulation because EPO actually causes contractions, and if you get pregnant you dont want to risk it. So take 4-6 500mg capsules, you can google the search as well and find very helpful info. I would also reccomend Preseed Lubricant. I use it and it works very well. It is the only "sperm friendly" lubricant out there. And it is great. www.preseed.com so I hope this helps.

You need to find out what's causing the scant mucus. Doing this will improve your fertility signs and increase your chances at conception.

Are you underweight? Being under your ideal weight can negatively affect your fertility and cause scant cervical mucus. Fatty tissue is actually a storehouse for the sex hormones. You don't want to be too thin or to exercise vigorously.

Are you sensitive to night lighting? As weird as it sounds, it has been documented that night lights may causes scant or patchy mucus, cycle irregularities or infertility. Eliminating light when you are sleeping may cure your mucus problem altogether. I sleep with a beauty mask on my face. I got a really cheap comfy satin one on Ebay for $2.00 and it helped me tremendously. My mucus pattern is much easier to read now. You might try a mask or at least make sure your room is totally dark - even turn your digital alarm clock away from you.

Best of luck
