The New Kingdom is classified as the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries BC, having been preceded by the Second Intermediate Period (15th, 16th, and 17th centuries BC). Hatshepsut was preceded by 4 New Kingdom rulers (in geneological order): Ahmose I, Amenhotep I, Thutmose I, and Thutmose II (this does not include Thutmose III, as she served as his co-regent).

Pharaohs of Egypt wore the double-crown (is one crown made from 2 separate crowns that in good condition interior one yet another) that represents both important cultural divisions of Egypt, top and reduce (South and North, genuinely). The also wore a pretend beard made from both brass or hardened hair (in case you ever see a image of a pharaoh, its that little cylindrical project they have sticking out of their chins). (BTW, Hatshepsut also wore this beard, inspite of being woman). each so often they could beautify themselves with tattoos (in a lot of circumstances an ankh, that's type of a flow except the proper section is a loop rather of a immediately rod). Hatshepsut like maximum pharaohs ought to have also worn truly some gold and brass rings, as well as dyed silks (red or white, often) from the Levantine
