If you get headphones pay the big bucks for a good set.
Check tigerdirect.com out. That have a good pair of "gaming" headphones. Not sure about price though

Speakers of course! Haven't you ever been to a store or friends house who has atleast a 6 speaker set up.
To feel a Star Destroyer come from behind you with sound and have lasers shoot from each side an spacecraft zooming towards you>

there are advantages to both.
Personally I like headphones, you can have functionally higher volume without disturbing others, though you lose the spacial audio aspect...
Good headphones are great though.

Headphones because you can block out all other distractions!
They are also good if you have to talk to other people.
