Isn't we get lower gas price if Californians vote "Yes on 87"?

Some of the Californians are failed to vote "Yes on 87" because of that i assume we are suffering on gas price now. If we have vote for "Yes on Prop. 87" then we could get lower gas price, isn't it?

Absolutely not. Proposition 87 was a tax to fund research and development of alternative energy sources. That tax would have made our oil prices even higher than they are now with no guarantee that any of these alternative energy sources would have ever even come to fruition. Proposition 87 was an ill-advised pipe dream and California voters were votes to vote it down.
