I've heard this before but not sure if it's actually been confirmed. How often would be necessary for this to be beneficial?

Recent studies have shown that masturbation until climax once a day does help to keep the prostate in working order, it has nothing to do with wet dreams as they can take weeks to happen.

If this were true, prostate would not be exist at all in men, let alone such a serious source of cancer.
I've heard that it's healthy because it flushes the prostate, but that's why the body will have noctural emissions. Your body knows how to care for itself in matters like that.
Admit that you are looking for a reason to justify your excessive masturbation.

Hi there. The estimate is that sex either solo or with a partner 4 times a weeks can significantly lower a man's risk for prostate cancer.http://www.webmd.com/prostate-cancer/guide/lower-risk-prostate-cancer This article points to diet and vitamins as to lowering the risk for prostate cancer with no mention of sexual activity. The information linking sex with lowering the risk of prostate cancer was definitely the thinking in the 1980's. More research probably is needed. Whether it is true or not, I'm sure no harm done. I preach it and teach it. It's all good to me. lol. Have a great weekend.

No. The prostate would still be perfectly healthy if the man never masturbated. Once his seminal vesicles became really full he might have a wet dream. I've never heard of a disease attributed to too little or to too much masturbation. A man should not masturbate because he feels it is healthy. He should masturbate if he feels a strong urge to release his pent up sexual desire.
