Theres nothing you can do really. Did you sign an agreement to this wager? Would you take them to court over it if you did? if this is a good friend of yours then i would put it aside or you will lose them over an amount of money that most people will never even see.

If there was no contract and betting was illegal with regard to the law then you can do nothing legal about it but if you want, punch him so that he will pay you. But that's illegal. But if the betting had a contract then you can sue him/her.

Well, i'd tell everyone he's a welcher. But i'd have to suck it up. Really, I'm not out anything. So it's a wash PLUS you learned the person's true colors.
Of course, if the roles were reversed, and you know YOU wouldn't pay, then you really don't have anything to whine about.

What I do is just make sure that I don't ,and none of the crowd I know, makes a bet with him again.

Tell everyone in the world he is a welcher . I hate that more than anything . Its a guy rule . Don't bet if you can't afford to lose.
