Even though this life is short, suffering IS a big deal. It's a big deal to the ones who are suffering. I don't think God intended us to suffer.

I don't know how old you are, but there are levels of sufferining you've probably never experienced personally.
I don't think you'de be asking this questions otherwise.
I understand that there are those that make a career out
of it, either to gain attention or sympathy, but I'm talking
about real suffering after a loved one dies or compassionate
suffering regarding huge loss of lives in destitute countries.
If you're really informed on what's going on in the world.
you would see that many are in dire situations with
no way out to whom suffering is a daily fact, and is eternal
in these circumstances.

It's part of our human nature and it is out of our control .Physical suffering and mental suffering are two types of discomfort that can combine to cause an overwhelming sensation to the sufferer.
Some people who belong to a religious denomination believe pain and suffering are normal and offer it up to God as a way of expressing their feelings to Jesus' Crucifixion.

The physical sense of suffering may be a short while, but its after effects, both physical and mental, may last a lifetime. If suffering can scar one's self for life, it should be taken very seriously.

If you had someone hostage, and you used sizzors to cut off their finger, would you say, "It's only but for a minute, don't take it too seriously"?
Suffering is a sign when things are getting worse; not better. As much attention must be put toward it as possible to prevent any chain reactions that will result from it.

Apparently, you have never experienced real suffering. For example, do you live in severe, chronic, untreatable pain? Many people do. If you have never experienced something like this, on a permanent basis, you may not have the 'wisdom' to think clearly about your question.

I have seen many people's lives destroyed because they could not handle the suffering they were going through. So I think we should take it seriously. We must also learn how to manage suffering because sometimes it teaches us something.
Peace and every blessing!

Suffering hurts, pain has a peak intensity of approximately 220 volts. Stick your finger in an outlet then you will know what its all about.

people suffer because of their wrong choice. like Adam and eve, they don't have to suffer at their time. God gave them the right to choose, but they choose the way of evil. that's why they suffered. as their children, we inherit their characters (wrong decisions in life), so that, suffering is continues.
