How much should it cost to hire a chimney sweep?

I need to find one to clean my chimney-- but I have no idea how much they will charge...

You can also buy a brush from the hardware store that is made to clean the pipe but it involves climbing on the roof and removing the cap. Is the price of firewood horrendous over there too?

In the south, it is around $100 (we paid $85.00) for one story chimney sweep. Think my mom paid around $125 for her two story a couple years back.
