do you hang it with the paper going over or under? I put it one way and my mother-in-law comes over and changes it on me, it's infuriating because her way makes no sense to me. So I would like to know how the rest of the world does it.

What most people fail to realize is that if the paper is brushing against the back of the holder or the wall it's attached to, germs that almost never get wiped away (who else, other than OCD sufferers, really takes the time to wipe down the holder each time a new roll is put in?) now have a direct route to your *** by way of attaching to the paper. When you think you're wiping your *** (or other areas) clean, you're actually smearing them with more germs. These germs can cause the growth of strange black hairs, stinky bits that dirty your underwear and in some cases, a fatal strain of swollen *** disease which causes you to fart blood.
As well as for health reasons, properly hung paper will ensure ease of use and in some cases, reduce the amount of paper used per visit. Late night visits are also easier to endure when your half-awake brain goes to instruct your hands to grab paper, as the paper will flow easily towards the user and cause less stress.

Ann Landers actually had a column about this at one time. It seems most people prefer it hangng away form the wall and supposedly the hotel industry claims this is the proper way. Personally as long as its there on the hanger, on top of the toilet or somewhere on the floor within reach then all is right with the world.

It would seem that over is the way to go. Some brands are more finished on that side of the paper. It would also seem to be more sanitary. If you roll from under, your hands have to get close to the wall or paper holder. It would be more sanitary if the paper were out in the open air.

well, I hang it so that It unrolls from the bottom of The role toward me. If I hung it the other way from the top over then I would use too much paper. I am only me and that is a very Small portent of the rest of the world

Write a note on the toilet paper when she comes over and tell her when SHE buys the TP, she can hang it the way she wants. Otherwise leave it to h--l alone!

With the paper hanging towards the front! If you hang it facing the back you end up using A LOT more paper!!!

the end of the roll must hang out not inside. easier to grab. so when you pull it ends up on the outside and wont have to roll it to find the end.and unroll all over the floor.<<<<<<

The great American debate.
Over or under.
It seems most hotels go over, and then they fold the end to a point like an envelope flap.
I go with over myself.

That's so funny??? I had no clue there's a special way to do it either. I was told that the start of a new roll should be under so that the next time you won't have to search for the new square!!!
