By "virginity" I assume you mean whether or not a person has indulged in sexual intercourse..... there are very few indicators.. for example.. if you are pregnant then the indications are extremely high for the affirmative.... if you have an STD... if your girly guts are still squirming with sperm (they can last a few days) .... etc.. these indicate sexual intercourse.

An intact hymen is an indicator that you are unlikely to have had sexual intercourse but I don't think it is totally conclusive evidence .... also a busted hymen is not conclusive evidence that you have had sexual intercourse because they are by nature very fragile and sometimes busted by an exploring finger, by tampon, or by some other accident.

For a male subject, apart from an STD there are few ways but one for testing whether virginity is intact... there is that smug smile of satisfaction and a glowing aura... a little hard to pick but with training and a wink and a nod.... perhaps the truth will be revealed.

A gynecologist can tell if your hymen is intact, but not if you are actually a virgin, because there are MANY other reasons that it could have been broken other than actual penetration.
No respectable doctor would take part in determining whether or not you are a virgin anyway. Even though you may be a minor, you still have rights. All you have to do is tell the doctor that you don't want that information divulged to anyone.

Well, unless you have semen inside of you from sex, No. Also, if a doctor did know, there is a confidentiality clause that makes them stay quiet. If you are under the age of 17 you can ask about it when you visit.
Nobody can tell if somebody is a virgin or not (because some women are born without a hymen and some tear during tampon use and sports). Unless of course you had sex within the past few days and semen might be left inside you if you did not use condoms. Which you should!!! Always. Protect your beautiful self. :) Good Luck.

P.s. lots of people are confused about hymens. Here is a link to read up on it.

If you still have an intact hymen then they will presume that you are a virgin because if it hasn't been broken earlier then intercourse will break it. But if you don;t have one then they have no idea unless you tell them - and you should tell them if you are sexually active - how can they treat your properly if they don't have all the facts? If you had abdominal pain and said that you hadn't had sex, then they could misdiagnose you if what you really had was an std.

Most likely, no. Many women lose their hymen (the thin membrane that is part of the vaginal opening) through non-sexual occurrences, though historically it was used as an indicating factor of virginity. Nevertheless, no modern doctor would regard its presence as "evidence" of virginity.

However, the presence of semen, even days old, can be detected by the same fashion, typically a cotton swab swipe, as is done in rape tests and autopsies of murdered women. Regardless, your parents cannot legally request such a test being done without your consent in the majority of countries.

The doctor can tell if your hymen is intact, that is what "pops" when you have sex for the first time so the answer is yes!

Yes... There is a thin piece of skin called the "Hymen" that will be gone if you've had sexual intercourse. A doctor can see that..yes.

NO, you cannot rupture the hymen by using tampons...

Nevertheless, that is what the "cherry" is in the phrase "popped your cherry"....
It's actually the hymen being ruptured and that is where the small amount of bleeding will come from the first time you have intercourse.

By doing a physical exam, the doctor can see if the hymen is broken. If the hymen is not intact, it usually means that you have been sexually active. Of course, there are a few exceptions, but generally this is true.
