Has anybody been to the African Safari theme in Disney, Fla. I saw it on TV and didn't catch it all. You go on a safari truck and ride through Africa. It's suspose to be like the real thing. Live animals, rough riding in the truck, almost being able to touch the animals. I'v looked it up on the internet and can't get much info. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

That would be Kilimanjaro Safari, which happens to be one of my favorite rides. It is really unique and well worth the wait, if there is one. Kilimanjaro is in Africa at Animal Kingdom, in case you are trying to find it.

Basically they take large trucks with people and they drive through the savannah, forest, rivers, etc. in the Animal Kingdom park. You get to see so many animals and get a really up close and unique experience that you really can't find anywhere else, except on a real safari. During my rides I've had several animals come right up to the truck, it so much fun. To make it more like a "ride" they also have made a little theme for it as well. You are trying to find poachers that are trying to harm the animals in the savannah, so it becomes sort of like a chase.

I don't want to ruin any of the secrets for you, however, I will include a link to some more info on the ride so you can look at it and get more info on it.

Hope this helps!

You're talking about Kilimangaro Safaris, which is at the Animal Kingdom park at WDW. Yes, it is extremely cool.

Here is a link.

Be sure to look at the other attractions while you are there. Animal Kingdom is my favorite park.

It is really cool, but they move fast so you have to be ready with your camera. Most of the lions and tigers are sleeping during the day so you might not get to see all of the animals, but I highly recommend it.
