Poem interpretation?

what do u think the point of this poem by maya angelou is and why do u think she has put in those african americans she has?

I think it celebrates Black Pride in all its many forms. Whether you drink gin from a cup, eat beans and rice, listen to jazz or go to the opera, it's all part of being a black American and "ain't that fine." It's a lovely poem.
