Typically at the surface the highest pressures are with cold air masses. The highest surface pressures were recorded a few years ago in Alaska, it was extremely cold!.

Please be careful in evaluating the answers.

In an enclosed environment such as a jar,or piston chamber, warm air will have more pressure because the molecules are moving faster and exerting more pressure.

In an open environment such as the earth, cold air will have more pressure on the ground because it is denser and hence weighs more. Warm air is rising which means it is not exerting as much pressure on the ground.

Since this topic is weather, I assume you want the answer for the open environment such as the earth.

I think cold air because the air is more dense with more molecules packed, and air pressure is the weight of the air above you so if theres more air theres more pressure.

If you have the same quantity of air molecules. Warmer air has more pressure.

Air Pressure = TNc/V. I forget what the c constant is. But Temperature is in Kelvin, N is the amount of molecules, and V is the volume.

Warm air is lighter than cold air.So high pressure should have cold air only.

warm air - the molecules in warm are are more active. Thus in a confined space, it build more pressure.
