What is your experience with the quarter system in college?

Is semester system better or the quarter system?

I prefer the quarter system. While it is a lot more rushed than a semester - 3-4 weeks in you've already got midterms - it also goes by a lot faster. You also have more time to take more interesting filler classes.

I like quarters better. The problem nowadays with overcrowding of classes is identifying and getting into the courses you need. But the quarter system can make the nonsesee of too many tests go away and leave you freer to learn.
