If it wasn't for people putting guns in crazy people's hands, there would be none of these senseless killings.
Just remember, that every time a minor uses a gun in gang warfare that an adult somewhere put that gun in the child's hand, or perhaps did so, by not keeping it under lock & key.

If you have a loose cannon like this nut job, he doesn't go down nice and legal and register his weapon. He could have stole it or bought it at a pawn shop, your dealing with a criminal mind, laws keep the honest people honest, no matter how many laws you make it's not going to stop the criminals. It will only put more people in an overcrowded system. And it will take the guns out of the hands of responsible people for protection. Car jacking went down as soon as the crooks realized they could get shot trying to steal someones car. If you want to stop this sort of thing you need to get these crazies off the street before they can hurt someone. He has been living somewhere somebody should have known he was unstable. In this day and age people have to pay attention to those around them.

Hello Sanjaya,
As a Citizen of the State of Virginia I can
tell you this with certainty...when you try
to purchase a Gun In the State of Virginia
the Dealer IMMEDIATELY calls the Virginia
State Police to do A Background check
on the Purchaser.
Now whether he bought if off of the street
or purchased it legally and then went
bonkers we won't know until the investigation
is completed, so to say the laws are lax is
far from the truth

No. Short of revoking the right to bare arms, the gun laws wouldn't have had much effect. If it hadn't been a "Walmart Special" it would have been a gun bought somewhere else.
The problem is that someone didn't notice that someone was mentally disturbed and get them some help. Also, they need to have tighter security about who they let in residence halls. How many people hold the door open for the person walking in behind them even if they don't know who they are?
Maybe if they had a main door that was guarded they wouldn't have that problem.

With each and each of the black marketplace guns obtainable as we talk new regulations does no longer help some thing. inspite of if the in elementary words thanks to get a gun should be to purchase it legally, in elementary words regulation abiding human beings ought to obey the regulation. A nutcase like this guy receives a gun or 2 no count number what the regulation is. you are able to make guns thoroughly unlawful and then the in elementary words ones that would have them may be the law enforcement officials and the criminals and 9 circumstances out of 10 a nasty guy shouldn't shoot an section up if there are law enforcement officials there. What do you do then? i ought to extremely be in a position to tug my personal gun and preserve myself and my kinfolk, i do not care whose emotions I damage.

The guns used had the serial numbers scratched off meaning they were bought on the street. The guy that did it was Chinese and had only been in the U.S. since August on a student visa. This doesn't appear to be the usual gun law situation. He was probably also the one calling in bomb threats to the school two weeks prior. Who knows, if he wouldn't have had guns, he may have used a bomb.

This is a joke right?
Gun laws wont stop people from shooting others. I think we need to do the opposite...make it a law that everyone has to carry a gun at all times...imagine a bank robber running into a bank then, or someone carjacking a bus, or someone trying to take a college classroom hostage. "Mutual destruction" has its good points.
And if you don't have your gun on you well then...you get a fine and your contributing to a criminals ability to take advantage of others. I hope they make you carry two guns for your crime.

I think a general failure in the mental health system is more to blame than any gun law.
If people are feeling they have a grudge and need to take it out on the world, they need somebody to talk to about it.
I hate guns.. but regulating the industry will always leave loopholes for unstable minds to jump through.
Lets give the unstable minds a safe alternative instead.

No, some murderer with a few screws loose enabled himself to set a "killing record."
Why is there no blame for the shooter?

I would suspect that a more immediate cause was insanity. Over 80 million Americans own guns. I wouldn't say that gun laws enabled one of those 80 million to go completely psycho.
