First you do as you said ....you converted from scientic notation to the decimal you have above 0.067893 But that is just a deciaml you now have to convert to a percent.

To convert this decimal to a percent you multiply by 100 which gives you 6.7893% or the short cut is move the decimal two places to your right.

First, your number is 6.7893x10-2. Your decimal representation is correct. Somewhere in 6th grade you learned how do make percents out of decimals. As a reminder, you multiply the number by 100. This gets you back to 6.7893 PER CENT.

you would write it like this .067893% because if you moved the decimal 2 times to the right... then it would be a 300% increasment to your answer! I hope this helps you! GOOD LUCK :~)

it would be 6.789.
for example, say you have a number, 3.5. obviously the percentage is 3.5%, to get decimal form, divide by 100. (0.035)

3.5/100=0.035%

therefore: 0.067893= x/100
