My husband has that man on the radio in the car and in the house he uses his head phones, If anything is good enough for Rush then its good enough for my husband, I even think that he has adopted Rush's philosophy on women that we are toys and not to be taken seriously like the women Rush calls "Nags" I told my husband that Rush is a bachelor and views women as toys why would a married man look up to him? He swears up and down that this is not true but I can see how he blows me off about certain issues that I feel strongly about and we are fighting alot lately, and I really do feel its because of this show. Now don't be mean I am feeling sensitive about this. Thanks everyone.

FYI...Rush has been married three times and is currently single. For the gentleman that said he has been married for 10yrs, that is not correct., thank you for your contribution to my blog.

I did up until he was exposed for prescription drug addiction. After that he lost credibility. You can't go public judging and criticizing people relentlessly and then expect compassion when your own skeletons are revealed. I turned him off and tuned out and have never regretted it.
Just don't participate in any of the Limbaugh convos or let him blather on. If you don't fuel his fire he will soon burn out. I know that's asking alot but it's worth the effort. Rush is not worth one moment of your frustration, tears, anger or otherwise. He is to be considered entertainment and not a "source" just like "SNL". At least the latter is obnoxiously funny unlike Rush who is purely obnoxious.

Yes, Rush Limbaugh is a douche bag. Knowing that gives him the credibility of a douche bag. As long as people realize that we are fine. It is when many people actually believe him we have a problem. It is like National Enquirer and the Globe, the supermarket tabloids. Their stories are often blown way out of proprtion and may not even be true but sensationalism is what sells their papers. The same applies with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and those kind. It is entertainment and sensationalism. In other words people like to read or hear BS because it makes their lives seem better.

Well it is obvious you don't listen to Rush or you would have more knowledge about his philosophy. He does not consider women "nags" only those over the top liberal NOW members. He has never considered women toys and is appreciative of women just not those who want to run his life. How many men can appreciate that? Rush is a highly intelligent, well educated man who came from poor beginnings and has paid his dues to get where he is. He studies and reads and learns so therefore has the facts not just some off the top of your head responses to what is happening in our world today. Though I think sometimes he pontificates too much, he has earned his spot to be able to do so. I always like to hear what he has to say. If you want to have some good talking points with your husband, the best way to do so is to listen to Rush and counter.....if you can. Not many out there are educated enough to do so but it's a start.

I like Rush, but the women he calls "Nags" are the feminists. Rush is NOT a bachelor, he is married and has been to his wife Marta for over 10 years now.
I don't listen to Rush as much as I used to, but I think your husband needs to respect you more even if you both don't agree on political things.

Sometimes people agree to disagree, and no matter how much you argue, you will not bring the other person around to your point of view (just like they cannot bring you around to theirs!).
However, if you feel that Rush is giving your husband bad ideas, or is hurting your relationship, you should ask your husband to give him up for a bit. If he won't, you'll know where you stand. If he does, then you can see if he gets any better.

Rush is a radio personallity, I sometimes like to listen to him as he can be humorous...I also enjoy listening to another radio personallity Howard Stern. This doesn't mean I put stock in what either of them say. I just like to laugh. I don't take anything an entertainer being paid to say and do what they say and do seriously. Rush is being paid to read a script on the air, just as Garrison Keeler is paid to do "Prarie Home Companion".
