You should check out Amnesty International's website. (www.amnestyusa.org) There was recently a National Week of Student Action, which they do every year. This year's was directly concentrated on Darfur. You could start a club at your school, hold fundraisers for Amnesty International. You can also raise awareness of what is going on over there by holding seminars for fellow students or visiting other classes and giving a presentation. I am so happy to hear you wanting to help such a wonderful cause. I am sure there are many high school students who aren't as aware of the situation, but would probably want to get involved if they were able to learn more about it. I really hope you can start something so positive!

That's a great cause that I also support. If you find a main website for Save Darfur [which I think is the name of the main campaign]. You can sell wrist bands like my friend did or send in money. Try to get your friends into it. If you feel really strongly about the cause then you can talk to your school principal about starting a school wide fund-raiser. I hope all goes well in your fight for a cause!

Raise money, awareness, etc. I bet 95% of the kids at your school don't even know what's going on. Make posters, talk to your history teacher, etc. Get them informed. Then hold some sort of donation thing and raise some money. Go online and check sites that have donation information. They can always use the extra money.

See if your school has an Amnesty International group, if not push for that and write letters to leaders of countries urging them to help stop the genocide.

Study history and religion and learn the causes. Go to college, get a job in politics and try to make a difference.

You could have a fundraiser and donate the money through the Red Cross. They help people who have been displaced and you can indicate where you want your funds to go.

You can join the Military and do what you can but, it's going to take alot more (Including a president that doesn't lie his way out of every situation.)

you have not lived. once you become older you will realize there is not much you can do.
All you can do is sit back and watch. wish, pray, cry, write in your diary. But unless you become the president of the US, and control the largest military force in the world, you cannot do anything.

Turn of the TV and you won't have to watch. It's none of your business / our business what happens in those other places. You're a kid in a small town... go get a pizza or something and chill out!
