Who is John Mar?

I have been told I look like this guy. Unsure of spelling could be John Marr or Marh apparently a singer of american origins. Any music buffs care to help me out :)

Johnny Marr was the guitarist for The Smiths, but he's British. They are probably telling you that you look like John Mayer.
