Yes. The reason for this is that there are too many kids bringing things to school that they shouldn't. Guns, knives, bombs, and drugs, mainly come to mind.

I say yes in certain circumstances. If a group of kids say that they say that child putting either stolen items, drugs, a gun or something of the like then it's fine. Now a search out of the blue, for no clear reason the principal shouldn't be able to.

Absolutely. The principal is an adult in a well-respected position of authority. If he/she feels the need to search a child's bag, it would be for good reason.

Yes - but hopefully with a reasonable motivation. As others have already said, too often students have dangerous items or stolen property.
The principal does have the right, but I hope he/she had some probable cause for doing it. Otherwise it can destroy student trust and feeling of safety at school.

If the principal has reasonable suspicion for illegal objects that could potentially endanger other students, then it is okay. Most likely the principal is trying to maintain a safe school environment.

for this reason, scholars do no longer have an expectation of privateness for issues carried to college in a backpack, or left of their lockers. each and each of the college or police want is a reasoable reason. A bomb threat is a functional reason. A warrant ought to in elementary words be mandatory to seek a private residing house.

Personally, I don't think so. I think it's an invasion of privacy as well as an insult. You're basically saying "I don't trust you, and I think you're lying to me."
