I think it is terrible what is the Country coming too. Our country has a very high crime rate it is ridiculous. I think it is partly do to that parents don't discipline their kids so they think they can get away with anything. Also kids are not being brought up today with morals. 40 years ago you didn't see the problems we have now. I also think that movies, TV, music etc... have a little bit to do with it. There is violence everywhere we are desensitized to it. Kids today are obsessed with violence look at the games they play. In my opinion I think our media has it backwards. They think violence is OK but sex is bad. If i had to choose the lesser of two evils I would rather watch sex than violence whats the worst a kid going to do if they see sex or nudity masturbate? I did a research paper on violence in the media when I was in school and I read a report where a kid found his dad's gun and was playing Cowboys and Indians with his brother and he ended up shooting his brother and killing him. Something really needs to be done in this country we need to be teaching our kids discipline and morals. Great question

It is tragic and bizarre. It certainly reminds one, even if only for a moment, that life really is fragile and precious and that we have no guarantees.
I think it is unfortunate that the first thing (at least it feels like it) is the media starts looking for who made mistakes, who's to blame, what didn't get done right. I can understand the need of the grief-stricken to do that, and the need of those just trying to get a grip on what the heck happened, but why does the media seem to start a witch hunt when these things happen?
What these families, witnesses, friends, responders must be feeling is just unfathomable. What this man did is incomprehensible.
Prayers and blessings to those most affected.

I am very sad about what happened. I knew several of my high school classmates were accepted into VA Tech last year. I think the shooter was seriously disturbed. It makes me want to cry or scream or SOMETHING... 33 dead so far? Nuts...My stepmom's coworker's son is okay, but he was supposed to be in that place that got shot up. His roommate was killed though.

it really is definitely unhappy, yet please undergo in recommendations it really is over and there is not any longer some thing you may do about it now. human beings die daily in wars all over the world, site visitors twist of destiny, ailment, famine, etc... This replaced into the act of one very deranged youthful guy and there is little consider attempting to comprehend what occurred. because we are sane, we isn't waiting to extremely get into his recommendations. the perfect project you may do now should be take a television smash. turn off the television and flow on at the same time with your everyday life. you received't convey those human beings decrease back by technique of delving on their deaths.

Of course it is! These young adults are doing something productive with their lives! They're going to college, they're trying to get decent jobs, they're trying to better America! They're IN A COLLEGE! And they get shot to death! I mean 33 damn people! What the f_uck?! Instead of being out on the streets, they were actually getting an education and they get shot to death! I just don't get it! It's not fair! And there are some killers still on the loose who kill so many people and live to see 80. People who have committed countless crimes, harmed people in so many ways, and they get to live long lives. But these young adults, who possibly could have changed America for the better, been a future president of the United States, found the cure for cancer, they have to die. It's a shame, it's a darn shame. And it's wrong. And it's completely unfair. : ' (

I can't belive it.I live in Qc, and I would freak out if a situation like that was to happen, a few years ago a boy enter the french high school and took a whole class hostage with a knife and one student risked himself to save the others, he got stabbed but is okay. Where is our school system heading too, it already feels like a prison without having to really become one. all my regards to the families and victims.

Yes it is...Yeah the shooter was here on a visa for china according to the media..how come USA keeps letting him people who only end up being killers. We educate them and then they go off to other countries and become assasins. Whats up with that? I think we need to seriously crack down on who is let into the country. We have enough people..its already too crowded as it is.

Yes. I believe that the media sounds like a lynch mob for the school's admin. OVER and OVER they are trying to drill into our heads what THEY think went wrong. Their questions seemed to aimed at getting the students angry....the media appear as vulchers to me.

I just can't comprehend why anyone would want to hurt, let alone KILL anyone else. Especially people that they don't even know and have done absolutely NOTHING TO THEM. It's horrifying...I feel so sorry for all the families that lost loved ones in this tragedy.
