the queston is
the valume of the sun is 6.5 x 10^31 cubic inches. there are about 1 x 10^57atoms in the sun. what is the average amount of atoms per cubic inch in the sun?

I know how to do scientific notation and the reverse, but I don't know what to do with this; do i just put a raitio or multiyply count to put in expanded form I need help

Divide the two numbers like normal - 1/6.5

For the scientific notations, when dividing you subtract the powers, so it would be 57-31, or 26

So the answer is 1/6.5 x 10^26 atoms per square inch

that is 1.54x10^27 atoms per square inch

1 x 10^57atoms /6.5 x 10^31 in^3
=.15 X 10^26 = 1.5 X 10^25 atoms/inch^3
