It is so sad!! In Australia we have not had anything like this at all ( not that i can recall)
I know that you have had a few!! Have you become "immune" to this because it has happened so many times??
Why do they do it for, it gets me!!

Oh yer Martin Bryant!!
I think i was 12 when that happened!!
Some people just have no limits do they!!
Although that was at a tourist sight in tassie not in a school although on the same levels the same.
I just dont understand how a young student could do this it really upsets me!

I live and work here and I have been crying all day. I can't believe this has happened in my home town! Everyone is walking around looking like zombies in total disbelief. Stuff just doesn't happen like this, we are a very small town. Everyone knows students, faculty, staff, or someone affiliated with Virginia Tech. It's so terribly sad. I don't know how we are ever going to heal from this.

HORRIBLE. I've lived in va my entire life....VA Tech has been a huge part of my life. I graduated 3 years ago from college so everyoen I know who went there are now alumni but this is so hard hitting because its so close in proximity.

I also screwed myself by researching past shootings...including the one about charles whitman in 1966 at UT Austin where he killed 16 people.

Blah, what a depressing day.

We had a less severe incident at a highschool in...Colorado...I think? In the 90's...but this is much larger scale. It's all over the news...really depressing and horrible. I don't know the details...nobody does yet...no releases on names, etc. But I'm sure it'll take a while to recover from this one.

Sorry to say this HAS happened in Australia. remember the guy in Tasmania who went on a rampage and killed about 20 people?
But your right, it does seem to be more of a regular occurance in America...why?

Kind of sickening, but the incident does not involve me or mine. Right now, I want to know who the shooter was and what we can do to prevent a future occurance.

It makes me paranoid to walk to my classes without thinking there will be somebody in the bushes with a gun.

This is a tragic event. It is to early for alot of details. I hope they find out about the devil that did this to our college students. Please pray for the victims and their families.
