I think that both sides thumbs down, and I don't think there is any harm in that at all. A thumbs down is just an opinion. However, the reporting is ridiculous and childish, and can actually hurt people. I think it should be stopped, or at least severely restricted. Do some of these people know what actually happens when you get someone's account terminated? They don't just lose all their points, they can also lose their email account, no matter how long they have had it, and lose all their email from who knows how far back! Some of it might have real sentimental value, too!

I have never, and I repeat never reported anyone, and I never will. But, I have been accused of it before. Even, if I come across something so unspeakably vile that it offends literally everyone who sees it, I will leave it for someone else to report. There was one time that I almost reported something, but someone else reported it first, and it was extremely offensive.

You would not get so upset over thumbs down, if something much worse happened to you. You can't lose any points or your account, over a thumbs down, so you should not worry about those. *sm*

Thats your perception. Im not a repub per se but im a conservative and I know some people thumbs down just because they dont like my opinions in general and I am sure you perhaps experience the same thing.
It gets pretty childish and petty sometimes. when you give a thumbs down just because you dont like someone.

I by no ability understand who's giving me thumbs down anymore as I actual tend to disillusioned the two factors exceptionally the two observing the subject rely on the time. the factor here is that the two factors understand a thank you to apply the thumbs down button. Neither component desires to have their comments challenged and regrettably i think of that lots of them are in simple terms no longer arranged to handle a controversy based in information, or an opinion that differs from their very own. Thumbs down do no longer harm my thoughts slightly nonetheless. considering that i do no longer bash every physique as a regular rule I in simple terms view it as a win. they can't refute my place so as that they like to conceal from it as a replace via collapsing my answer.
