Yes you will. I am a swimmer and i sometimes get my period during my swim meets and to solve this problem I stay in the warm up pool all the time....until its time for me to swim my event. Tampon is not necessary. Don't use it if you are uncomfortable with it. Period doesn't come out in the water. It might feel like it but no it is clogged. The water stops it from coming out. But if you go swimming in the pond, make sure you stay there don't go out and do some swinging(like i see on tv). Make sure you change really fast and get in the pond really fast. If you want to do anything outside of the water do it quick or have a close friend go with you. Don't let your period get in the way of you having fun. Sometimes i wear a thin pad (for light days) just in case. But nothing should happen. Good Luck my friend

you need to wear a pad before you go into the water and when you get out of the water.
the body doesn't bleed when we are in the water.
like when we take a bath.
i would be sure to have a dark towell so i could wrap myself.
no sharks in the pond right? j/K!about the sharks.
i would wear a mini pad to be safe.
and i know you r afraid of tampons, but perhaps it's time to try. and if it's not for you, then don't do it.

it's a fact. when we go into water our flow stops

Use one. It can't get lost inside of you. There is nothing to worry about. The opening to your womb is too small for it to fit into. Make sure you don't wear it for more than 8 hours though you should change it after swimming because it will leak if you swim. Also, tampons have relieved my cramps. I had less when I switched from pads. You should try it.

Sweetie, why are you afraid of tampons? They are not anything to be afraid of. I bet if you tried them once you will really like using them..... They can't get lost they can't fall out. You have two months to get use to using them.

Go for it!

If you are not floing heavily you shouldn't have any problem swimming in a pond....
