I am a pretty active guy. I run a lot and workout my arms, abs, and legs. I have recently gained about 5 pounds. I have not increased my food intake, and my metabolism is pretty fast. I know that it could be muslce, but I not sure. I just want to know if I should be worried about tumors.

Dear Nick, There is no connection between tumors benign or cancerous associated with weight gain. Check your BMI to see if you are height/weight proportionate. Have a nice week.http://www.bariatricedge.com/dtcf/pages/bmi_calculator.htm?WT.srch=1 This site will help.

there can be lots of reasons. 5 lbs on a male is usually nothing that can be noticed. it could be the results of increased water retention from several high carbohydrate meals.
