When I was born my skin color was pink, within a few days, color turned to white, when very cold, color turns blue, when suburned color turns red, when sick, color turns yellow/grey, and when I die, I will turn blue. Who are white skinned people calling colored!! We are just one big rainbow. Do you agree? *smiles*

And we also turn blue form holding our breath, Don't hold yours waiting for Haters to stop Hating. I have tried for years to sway some family members away from this type of behavior towards other family members. It won't work.

The NAACP = National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Formed by Black people when colored was what you wanted to be called.

I guess you took this out of a Readers Digest from a couple of years ago.
Remember in certain parts of the world "colored" and "African" people are two totally different ethnic groups altogether.
When this title of "colored" people was derived in America, the ruling racial group where "white" people, in todays society, or at least in America, the correct term for "colored" people is "African American", which is also a bit of a contradiction, because not all people with a dark skin colour are from Africa, or lives in America ;)

I'm beige with brown polka dots. In the sun, I turn red and get more brown polka dots.

Completely! If you have read Maniac Magee, he says that there is not white or black, only cinammon, sugar, butter rum, licorice, peach, and so on . And I agree 100% I'm colored!!! :-))) I'm peachy! :-)))

in this book i read, it said black is devoid of colour, and white is a colour. So I don't see where people get off on saying being black is being coloured. whites are the coloured ones. and I agree with you!
