The god you pray to would want it that way.

The Burrow Owl needs a human body to lay it's eggs. Without this, it cannot reproduce. How can we allow this to happen?

Thy house doth fall in disrespect.
Thy words do spew of offal.
Thy body fills with thy Rot.
Thou art a Troll.
Thou art a bigot.
Thou art an apostate of thine own religion.
Thy God doth abhor thee.

Yes, the human race should commit suicide to save the Spotted Burrow Owl.

You see though, in Christianity, suicide is considered a sin by most modern sects, including the Catholic Church. Their arguments are based largely around the commandment, "thou shalt not kill" (made applicable under the New Covenant by Christ in Matthew 19:18), and the ideas that life is a gift given by God that should not be spurned, and that suicide is against the "natural order" and thus interferes with God's master plan for the world.

Now if our death interferes with God's master plan then would that also effect the Spotted Burrow Owl in a negative way? Not only would the entire human race be committing a mass sin and all burn in hell according to the Christian believes but if it would also interferes with God's master plan for the world then that would surely effect the poor Spotted Burrow Owl that we all want to save from extinction. So rather then commit suicide we should try and find a more useful solution.

The owl does not need a human body to survive it just needs a body and the god i pray to does not want me to commit suicide it is still in a way selfish because you will lose all of your loved ones. That is just wrong saying every one should commit suicide. We humans should just help the earth more and maybe the owls can survive longer.

Nobody pays attention to animalsrhat hard to really know. Dogs that get hit by cars could possibly be committing suicide to avoid abusive owners. Maybe deer's who get hit ate starving. But why would animals feel insecure when they all look the same as their species and breeds? Humans can feel more self conscious and unattractive because we don't look distinctly the same. Our facial features are different and vary from person to person. Animals don't have to worry about feeling ugly and being teased. They don't have to worry about paying bills either or the many responsibilities humans have. They just need to eat and stay at the right temperature.

No... It's just an owl.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." - Genesis 1:26

Man was made in God's image, not the owl. We are also to rule over the creatures of this world. I think God would be sad if the Spotted Burrow Owl became extinct, but I don't think he would want us to commit suicide to save it.

The God I pray to does not sanction suicide. My God has instructed me to be a keeper of the earth and to protect the species there to the best of my ability. Therefore, I would more likely suggest setting aside the area the owl lives in as a sanctuary for it and prevent any more clear-cutting of the area.

Unfortunately, this species has become habituated to human supplicants bringing them dead rodents as offerings. If its humans were gone, so too would the owls be gone.

Human forest worshippers also guard the birds in their deserts and etc. If we were gone who would even notice that the owls were here? The lizards?

I don't know to whom you are posing this question, but no, the human race shouldn't commit suicide to save any species. What the human race needs to do is stop polluting, stop over development of sensitive areas, stop over population, be more responsible in all of our actions. We only have this one Earth and every species is prescious. Who knows which species will be the one to tip the balance to our total destruction. Every living being on this Earth has its place and purpose, we have long since overgrown ours, we, as humans, need to rethink our ways of doing everything.

i do have a spot in my heart and mind for your spotted owl. unfortunately i have no influence toward this end.

as to God, the father almighty, even he has his adversary. it must be very trying for Him to sit and watch the choices that we make in our lives. yet he does allow us the freedom to choose.

but i do pray because there is power in prayer. but this is where God does make decisions for us. so there are three types of answers to prayer: yes, no or wait. many of the psalms do urge us to wait on the Lord.
