why do white people(not all of them) say that mexicans are lazie and here in california oxnard california where the strawberrie feilds r theres like mostly mexicans working real hard in the feilds tryin to support there familys so why do the white people(not all of them) say that there lazie when there not? i dont understand that.im not racist but its true some white do say that.

I've never heard this where I live (Texas). As a matter of fact I think the opposite perception is most represented in Texas. I see hispanic people doing hard labor jobs all the time (for below minimum wage). I think it's horrible how employers exploit some hispanic people just because they are not American citizens! I do not support illegal immigration just the proper and HUMAN treatment of PEOPLE (legal or not).

I've met quite a few mexicans, and the ones i have met, some are lazy and lack basic personal hygene. But others are very racist against white people, and native americans. I think by calling them all lazy is just animosity from some coming to this country and getting education, health care etc. and no other nationality can do all that without all the hastle and threat of deportation as much as someone from Russia or Korea for example.

They go by what they hear. I lived in Mexico for 5 years and unfortunately most of the people don't have a chance to work because there isn't any. So, they hang around at home or with friends and do nothing. Well, here that is concidered lazy. But the hispanic people that work in USA work very hard only to earn minimum wages, but it is money to send home to their family in Mexico so that they have enough to eat. I consider an unemployed person that sits at home, living on welfare, doing s*** , a lazy person. Because they don't want to do the hard work the Mexican do for us on minimum wages.

I work in the agricultural field and am exposed to a lot of illegals. My experience is that they are very hard workers, but they are not highly educated and are only given enough information to do their job and nothing more. Because they are taught only to do and not to think, they tend to put their minds on autopilot. Consequently the work ends up looking a little sloppy at the end of the day. If a stranger with no experience in agriculture walks into one of these jobs at the end of a shift, I can see where he might get the impression that they are lazy.

Just to let you know there are alot of people out here in the Northeast who think otherwise. I watched a special (I think on Discovery or TLC) about a Mexican family who came to the US to work just to feed their families. VERY hard workers. Also, I know a demolition supervisor that hires Mexicans because of how hard they work. He pays them well for their work too!! I think there are hard workers and lazy people in every race (some more than others). Also, it's usually the lazy ones who worry about how lazy OTHER people are!

I think because of the issues with illegals, people have gone slightly over-board.
Most people white or whatever don't have any issues with the legal citizens or legal green cards/visas whatever.
You can d@mn sure bet I'm not picking any fruit out in the heat all day.

And no I don't work in an office on my @$$ all day either. I work in a printing facility 12 hours on my feet. I just like working in the AC a little better.

I love Mexicans too much to bad mouth them due to the gang bangers. I live in Tucson which is 40 miles from Mexico so I have a lot of contact with them.

My ex-in laws were Mexican and they are very hard workers. I am white and I find most of the Mexicans, have honorable work ethics.

Sorry to say but a lot go by 1 person that they might have met. If that person was that way then they (narrow minded) think all are that way. You can't judge a race (any race) by a few.
