ok so what's so great about anime?
i don't get it!
people at my school who are obessed ((not kidding)) with anime are really weirdos! they lick each other and act like dogs and roll around on the ground. or they act out an anime scene. and there 14 - 15 years old. is there something wrong with them? or is that the way people obessed with anime are?
NO OFFENSE TO PEOPLE WHO LIKE ANIME!
i just would like to know if this is normal behavior?

Personally, I like anime because I really haven't watched an anime or read a manga series and haven't related to it or one of the characters myself. It is right to say that it's a kind of escape, but it's entertainment that I can relate to. I like it because it could be about school life or supernatural beings, and still have a moral to the whole series that really makes you think. I've learned more about life itself through anime. If it weren't for that outlet, I might not even know some of my closest friends, or even my best friend. It's just amazing and scary to know who you meet and how you'll feel about a situation.. I go to anime conventions, I act out scenes, and I love to quote my favorite characters all the time. With your friends and with people that are into the same things as you are, it's easy to let loose and not feel so introverted. Some of the best times in my life were at anime conventions, or anime related. I'm even a lot closer friends with my brother. I really hope I helped answer your question.

x-x, you people need to live a little.. hell, anime's my life, basically. Yes, for many, many people this is normal behavior (as is major glopming) Beware of fangirls if you ever go to a con XD, I glomped every Kakashi I could find. Back to the question, though.. acting out scenes is completely normal and since dogs and cats are rather popular among anime shows, it would be normal for anime freaks (true ones) to act like that. ^^ It also depends on the person's personality, though, so just because some anime freaks act like that, not all will. Some people just know how to let loose a bit more.

Wow.
I am a pretty big fan of anime myself, but I have not seen such behavior of people acting like dogs................I just think they're crazy. I guess I only know sane anime fans. Acting out an anime scene is normal, that is, if the scene is normal. If the scene deals with licking each other like dogs, then, well, that's just weird to act it out.

You know what, I love anime, but I don't see why people should then lick each other and roll on the ground. That makes no sense what-so-ever. Don't get the wrong idea about us anime lovers.

I am a junior at my University, with a 3.7 GPA. I assure you I don't lick people or roll on the ground. I love anime and watch a lot of it in my spare time. I also read mangas, but that does not mean I'm weird in any way. I don't like watching american tv shows, they are boring.

Me and my homeboys are into anime and we never act like this lol. I mean I love anime but I'm not obsessed over it! I guess they act that way because they are kids and they have a overactive imagination don't worry once those teenage hormones kick in they well forget all about there fantasy anime worlds lol.

I've known quite a few people who are anime obsessed. I can see why anime programs are so appealing to people in the US, I enjoy some myself, but I have yet to figure out why some people go crazy over them.

I love animes but I don't do that. I call it "anime overdose". Maybe they've been watching too much anime that they no longer go out to see the real world. They should see a psychologist! Lol!

yo it's not the animes' fault itz ur lame school's fault because u can't just insult someone like this who watches anime and come on there are billions of people who watch anime they are not all weirdos so yea get real because u better shut the hell up and stop humiliating us because i never acted like that and neither did those people i know who watch anime got it?

no offense taken. but i like anime and i don't roll around on the grond or act like a dog, but i don't like it when an anime scene comes on. what are they watching because if it's cardcaptor sakura or someting then they must be smoking or something.
