I would love to get my Monroe done or do it myself; but I`m not so sure I would really want to. I`ve read other questions about the same subject but i`m not sure; so if my lip is thicker would it really hurt more? and I`m just wondering but would I actually look okay with one like could I pull it off? hm i`ve already pierced my lip on the right side it didn`t hurt that bad or anything and it healed pretty good. so what do you think?

i think if u want to get it done, u should go to a professional...this is the safest way!!! u minimize the possibility of any problems when u have it done by an experienced person in a hygienic environment with properly sterilized tools!!! i luv piercings (i have 14 myself), so i`m definitely not against them at all, but i do think it`s wise to have it done by a trained person who`s more experienced in the proper techniques of piercing!!!

Well, I have no idea what you look like, so I may not help. Not everyone can pull off a Monroe piercing. But if you think you can, try it. If you feel that it doesn't look right...take it out. Don't depend on other peoples opinion on whether or not the piercing will look good on you, only because everyone has a different opinion. I say, go for it! And for the pain, I think that's a pretty sensitive spot so of course it will hurt. But you seem to take pain well since you got your lip pierced and it didn't hurt that bad. Good Luck!

I got my monroe done 5 years ago and I love it, I will never take it out. The initial pain was pretty rough but it only lasted while I was getting it pierced and for about 5 minutes after, then it was just kind of numb. It healed really fast and with a good quality piece of jewelry it looks awesome. I get complimented on it all the time.

don't try to do it yourself. piercing yourself anywhere isn't advisable but on your face it's really bad to try to do it yourself. they make monroes in 8, 10, and even 12mm so the thickness of your skin shouldn't be a problem, the only thing is if it is thicker than 10 there aren't as many cute monroe piercings.

They are ugly, it is the stupidest piercing someone could get. Please, don't ruin your face by getting this done.
