When measured from the Sea level, Mt. Everest is the highest mountain standing at 8850 m or 29, 035 feet.
Whereas, if measured from base to peak, the highest mountain is Mauna Kea in Hawaii, as its base is on the sea floor and it rises 33,480 feet (10,314 meters) in total, reaching 13,796 feet (4205 m) above sea level.
