mutually as I actually agree that warfare is poor, i'm no longer so particular the word "warfare on Terror" might qualify as an oxymoron. To be an oxymoron, i think of there might desire to be an ironic twist led to via the juxtaposition of contradictory words. The words "warfare" and "terror" bypass mutually like like "discomfort" and "suffering." They recommend especially much the comparable ingredient and are profoundly unfunny. no longer an oxymoron, i think of.

One flaw.
War IS ALWAYS terrible BUT war is sometimes necessary and very just.
To engage in war against "terror" would be very just, perhaps not as necessary at times but definitely necessary overall.

Why don't you try hugging the terrorists. I'm sure that if you spread your touchy feely rhetoric to them they will understand. Sure war is terrible. But so is being beheaded for not believing in the same religion they do. Grow up. War is a necessary evil to preserve our way of life. And if they don't see it that way we'll just blow them up. End of story.

War is at times a justifiable necessary evil! Would you rather we just roll over and let our enemies defeat us without a fight? Some enemies will never accept any kind of negotiations!

No, it's just a nonsense term suitable for pep rallies and such. An oxymoron is something else entirely.

How did it work out for them?
