Our family would like to move into a community with mostly white folks like us, does anyone know of any nice, medium to large sized cities in California that are like that?

No offense or anything, but what kind of responses were you exactly expecting asking a question like this? Of course people are going to call you racist when you ask a question like this. Minorities can be just the same as white people when they have the same socioeconomic upbringing and class and you might need to meet some middle or upper middle class minorites and see they are pretty much the same as you compared to the stereotypes you might have, which usually are from lower class and poor minorities. It's about class and income more so than race as to what seperates us, but that's just my two cents.

You're right though, if you want to be racist then it's your right and I don't really care as long as you keep it to yourself and don't bother anyone with those views.
But to get to your questions, Orange County has plenty of cities that are very white. Most upper, middle class suburbs are predominately white. I grew up in an upper middle class suburbs, Walnut Creek, and it is 85% white. You can go to most wealthier suburbs anywhere in CA and it will be mostly white for the most part. CA is a really diverse state so you won't find medium sized cities not part of a major metropolitan area that is mostly white. Even the medium sized cities in the Central Valley or the Deserts have lots of minorities. So basically your best bet is a wealthy suburbs with lots of gated communities. Orange County and Marin County being the wealthiest and whitest counties in this state. Although Marin County is very liberal (the limosuine liberals types) so your views probably won't go over too well there. Try Orange County, plenty of wealthy, elitist and many times racist white people.

Mid-Atlantic feel, with a busy and lively city center. Beautiful views. Northern style beaches (huge waves, cold water, and lots of cliffs) -- lots of strolling and dog walking. The few who brave the surf are all in wetsuits. Foggy weather much of the year. Lots of condos and apartments that are very expensive.

This sounds like a racist question. We live in a world made up of many diverse people. I think you would do better to embrace diversity and find out what you are missing.
