A child is supposed to double his weight by 6 months, triple his weight by 1 year. He's three months old and he more than DOUBLED his weight! I think you're overfeeding him. Stop trying to bulk him up! Please stop before you hurt him and give him gastric issues. Give him the four oz. Only give him more when he wants more. That's my two cents!

Hope that helps!

Your son's weight is perfectly normal. First of all, that is something your doctor should answer for you, but I have 3 kids and one on the way and I can tell you that is a very healthy weight. Also you should not force feed your baby. They let you know when they are hungry and when they are done. Don't worry so much.

Don't force him.. you'll only make him have a problem later. He knows how much he wants/needs. Trust him. If he was small when little, then he will catch up in his own special time.
I breastfeed and everyone said the kids were thin, then graduated to milk and cereal and more processed food, so then they were pudgy. Now they are young teenagers and they are very beautiful healthy girls. Dont' let anyone tell you you are doing wrong and must make him catch up. He knows best. The most you can do it bring it to his mouth if he wants it.

I think this is fine, what does your doctor say....have a talk with him/her at your next appointment, they is a chart that the docs follow anyways for average percentile. I wouldn't be forcing anything else down his little throat or you are going to have a big mess to clean up afterward.

i would talk to your pediatrician....he has more than doubled his weight so that seems good.....i would never force him to eat when he isnt hungry...just setting him up for weight issues when he is older......babies will usually eat what they need with no prodding from us parents......but definately check with doctor if you are that concerned!
