He was not carrying ID. His face was blown off when he shot himself so that makes identification more problematic. He was fingerprinted, but the fingerprints do not match any known criminals (so there goes the argument about "law-abiding citizens" being allowed to carry guns).
He apparently was someone unstable or who had some type of psychotic break. He may have been a mental health patient somewhere. It seems he may have had a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend on campus, if indeed, there is only one shooter.
He may have been of Asian descent, which is relevant to the degree that someone in the public can possibly identify him. I don't think anyone knows whether he was a student or not.
I think some students said he seemed to be about 19 years old.

It doesn't matter.
This is the time where we have to all stand up together and mourn the losses and look back at what we did wrong.
I know we couldn't stop the person from doing this, but we could've at least warned the students after the first shot. Whatever race commited this crime, it's only him. We must NOT be racist over this matter. I deeply mourn the looses of those who have died. Amen.

an eye witness says the shooter was asian.
im suprised why didnt the police just say that its not a big deal.
