Well, there is wind, which gains energy from the sun. Oceans have currents, driven by relative salinity of water.

But the big one that happens is the tides - the moon's gravity make the water move.

in addition to waves driven by the wind and the tides already mentioned, there are ocean currents, like the gulf stream, that are caused by differences in seawater temperature
