Our new car came with 666 in the license plate #. We want to get a different # without paying extra for a custom plate or personalized #. If we exchange it at the DMV, won't they give us a new one with a randomly generated number? We can't seem to find the answer on their website.

Most states will allow you to exchange a license plate that has 666 as it's numbers. Same as with the number 13. Normally, most states will not even print these numbers on plates. Just check with your DMV. Explain that you want another plate due to the 666. There will be a small fee. (MI. $5)

depends on which state, just go in and tell them that your license plate fell off, then ask for a new number stating you are concerned someone may use your old one. This is the best way to get a different number for little or no charge.

Take it in and tell them it is against your religion to have the number 666 on anything you own. They shouldn't have too much of a problem to change it for you. Good luck
