Possibly hemorrhoids. You may not be eating enough fiber, & you may be eating too much protein.
Drink more water & less pop.
Eat more fruits/veggies & less meat.
If it's just a little blood on the toilet paper & it stops; you're ok. It's hemmorhoids.
If there is actual blood that is tarry & looks like coffee grinds, contact your Doctor immediately.

Dark blood is usually a s/s of illness in the colon, it is dark because it is considered "old blood" meaning it has been there awhile. Bright blood is the color you would see with hemmoroids. It can be due to several causes: Diverticulosis, ulcers, polyps, fissures, crohn's, cancer etc. not saying you have any of these but they are all possibilities. It depends upon on the amount also. Either way it is definitely something you need to seek medical attention and don't delay.

Hemmoroids or worse, blood in the stool, see a doctor to make sure you are ok & take whatever test you need to. Also pushing too hard (constipation) can cause bleeding & hemmoriods. Check to see if it's in the stool or not & if it's hurts, pinches it probably is hemmoriods. Try Preperation H.

Good Luck!

If the blood is in the stool then its best that the person goes and sees a doctor. If the blood is there when they wipe then its often hemorrhoids.
Hope this helps

If the blood is dark and tarry, you've got a problem you need to have addressed straight away (as in get your keys and go to the ER immediately). If it's red and looks "fresh", you may have an anal fissure (not quite as bad, and more easily addressed).

There could be several reasons. If bright red, I would say hemmoroids, if nearly black red, it is from up inside and needs immediate attention. If it continues for a week or more you should visit the DR. There is also cancer of rectum and others.
