I had horrible back labor, in fact, having terrible back spasms like you are talking about were one of my first labor signs. I was 35 weeks, too. (I had a preemie.)

It's possible that the baby is settling into your pelvis, and pushing against your pelvis and tailbone. It hurts like heck! I know I could barely walk!

My baby actually broke my tailbone coming out. Not to scare you, I think that's very rare. But, I wonder if you can talk to your doctor and see if perhaps there is a risk there. I'd hate for you to have that happen to you. I recovered very quickly from my birth, but the tailbone hurt so bad! It's been 19 months and it still hurts if I sit too long, or sit on a hard surface. Breastfeeding was really, really hard. Talk to your doc and see if there is anything they can do to prevent this from happening to you.

Hopefully, your pelvis is just opening up and it's painful, but maybe by the time you give birth, it will all loosen up.

Good luck!

I'm not sure. If it was contractions it would come and go. Does it feel like you are getting a period? It begins with similar pain. I had back pain but then I started bleeding. It was a sure sign of labor. Take a nice shower, call the dr. and discuss it. He may tell you to take some med. Good luck. I think it may be the baby's foot or something on your spine.

Point one million: Every occasion has to discover volunteers to face as applicants. Not adequate volunteers - now not adequate applicants. Point two: Standing in a hopeless ward, even though fascinating for the entire countrywide events, isn't constantly useful, and, of direction, fees cash. Standing method striking up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. Point three: In 2007 I do not suppose any occasion is fielding applicants in additional than 60% of the entire council seats up for election. There is a ward close me that is surely solidly Tory. A few years in the past the Tories could not discover a candidate. Nor would another occasion besides Labour. So he gained the seat via default. The man was once a conventional ancient staunch socialist and it was once rather ironic that he spend four years representing a prime Tory rural ward. The Tories made definite they post a candidate four years later. P.S. If you are going to cite Shakespeare you will have to no less than appreciate it. "Wherefore" honestly method "why are you", now not "in which are you". Juliet was once asking why Romeo needed to be from a loved ones with whom hers had a feud.

Sounds like it very well might be. I had every contraction in my back not a single one in my stomach. And my entire pregnancy my lower back hurt all the time. It pretty much just hurts like hell and all I wanted was someone pushing on my lower back as hard as they could during labor.

It could be back labor. Back labor is the first sign of baby in a transverse or face forward position. Baby needs to be face down (toward your bottom).

Maybe call L&D and describe your symptoms.

Good Luck!

It could be back labor, but try to just relax and wait and see what happens...you'll start feeling contractions and more "classic" feelings of labor. Sometimes back labor feels like contractions, sometimes it feels like just a backache...and sometimes it really is just a backache from carrying around that extra weight.
