Its very hard to tell when you are pregnant how much is fat, how much is fluid and how much is baby! She should not go on a diet instead eat healthy, it doesnt matter how much healthy food she eats maybe get her to eat little and often rather than 3 big meals per day, try to go for a half hour walk each day or every second day, this is actually good for her and for the baby and is supposed to help to have a shorter labour and will help her get back to her shape after the baby, it is also a good practice to continue after she has the baby as it gets her out of the house for a change of scenery and again helps get back to her shape. Oh and I meant that you both go for a walk together - good for your relationship too!! :) Good Luck

u unfeeling selfish git! sorry but u r. she's feeling fat cuz the BABY, not all the food shes eating u idiot. i bet u turn round 2 her n say 'well im not the one eating all the cakes n pasta"
1) be more bloody supportive, its ur baby 4 gods sake! try n b there 4 her, she needs u more now than eva b4. being pregnant is very hard
2) keep an eye on her moods (dnt u DARE say "its just ur hormones hunny" when shes angry or crying, it'll only make it worse) she may get pre-natel depression, thats how mine started
3) dnt evn think abt suggesting 2 her she suld go on a diet! its very dangerous 4 both her n the baby.
4) why oh why would eating pasta be a bad thing huh?
5) i think u suld grow up...fast! ur guno b a dad soon. god help ur girlfriend, she needs all the help she can get by the sounds of it!

No she bloody well shouldn't go on a diet she's pregnant and can eat all the cakes she wants. YOU have to tell her she's not fat and that she's beautiful and carries the baby you made together. Her body is changing in all sorts of ways and she needs you to let her know that in your eyes she's still the one you love and is as beautiful as ever.

she should eat more. she is "eating for two" my ex was going on about being fat when pregnant but had to eat more than she was cos babe was not growing as he should. a good healthy diet is very important during pregnancy. my ex went back to a size 10 in a few weeks. shes now a size 8, so the extra weight dose go its just there for the baby.

Oh, you're a fool. She's going to get fat either way. She's moaning about it becuase she is fishing for compliments and wants to feel better. You're supposed to tell her she's beautiful and that she has that "pregnancy glow".

She HAS to gain 25-30 pounds according to medical standards/studies. Dr's advise against any kind of diet that restricts calories. Yes, she can make some healthier choices, but YOU make healthier choices when you're tired and feel like crap and just want to make yourself forget the next 9 grueling months.

She can't go on a diet while she is pregnant, because then the baby will not get enough nutrients. All she can do is eat healthy so that she will not gain any more weight than nessicary (her doctor will tell her how much is nessicary). Recommend that she has a piece of fruit instead of cake.

How far along is she? She may be really hungry! I'm 8 weeks along and I'm so hungry all the time. She needs to eat frequent, small meals. Try to encourage her to eat healthy foods. Give her lots of love and encouragement! No dieting, but just help her eat good stuff, like apples and yogurt and whole grain pasta and lean meats!

No fish or shellfish or hotdogs, or lunch meats.

It's very important that she puts on weight at the moment for the sake of her own health and for the sake of the baby, who needs a lot of nutrition at the moment, as does your girlfriend. Growing a baby takes a huge toll on your body and she needs all the energy she can get. Try to encourage her to do gentle exercise but NOT to diet.

NO!
She is feeling undesirable and like a mini elephant at the moment, and this is partly down to hormones and the rest down to another human being growing inside of her. Pregnancy tends to make people weigh more than they have ever weighed in their lives, and it isn't just down to the food they suddenly find they HAVE to eat.

No body said it was your fault, but try being a little more sympathetic. You aren't to blame, but you are going to catch most of the bad moods and moanings that she will need to throw at you from time to time.
It's nothing personal, it's her hormones....and it won't last forever!

First of your not being very supportive of her are you?Shes not fat shes pregnant its the hormones that are making her feel this way most women do especially when pregnant. No she shouldn't go on a diet. She needs more support from you and from what your write a don't think you are giving it to her.Try support her and get her to realise that her body is going to change and that you love her and are there for her.
