It's only piting on the approach and driveway,side walk and stoop look fine.It was poured about 9 months ago.

It could be from road salt. Do you salt your driveway to melt the ice?

Is the weather in your area in the winter snowy or icy? Road crews often use salt or other chemicals to remove ice. This also ruins concrete. Bad thing is that normally, anything towards the street (from the sidewalk) is not really your property, even though you are responsible for maintenance.

It was never properly floated out. What your seeing is the result of air bubbles that were just under the surface that left weak spots.

could be salts, acids from the cars, or dripping acids from a bad battery.
