I don't know anything about drugs nor do I associate with anyone who does drugs. There's this smell I've been smelling...it kinda smells like something has been burning or something, or I don't know. It's a very strong smell, it smells really nasty, and it even feels like I have a burning sensation in my chest because of it. Is this marijuana what I'm smelling? I really need to know what marijuana smells like, if anybody knows. I didn't know what category to put this in, so I just chose anything.

I don't snort anything! There is this strong smell, that has been around all day. I just need to know if it is marijuana.

To me - pot doesn't really smell like anything else. It's hard to describe the smell, really.
Probably the best thing to do - is find somebody who no longer smokes pot (like me) - but would recognize the scent if they smelled it. Ask them to come with you wherever it is that you're smelling it - and identify it.

Well marijuana can smell like a skunk smell. It does not smell like cigarettes. It is a nasty smell and as I said can sort of resemble a smell from a skunk..Hope that helps

I don't know for a fact, but when I was shopping for a used vehicle, I sat inside of one that smelled like more than one person had been sick to their stomach. I was told this was the smell of stale marijuana. I have smelled this same odour only a touch sweeter since then and I think it was the same thing.

If you really need to know, just go to a rock or hip hop concert. And if you're smelling it as strongly as you claim, especially to the point of feeling a "burning sensation" in your chest, you've already gotten stoned so stop being so high n' mighty.

Go to the hardware store and buy some rope made of hemp (or something close to hemp -- not nylon or plastic rope, just "natural fiber" rope).
Burn the end of the rope until it just "smokes" (no flame). This will approximate the smell of marijuana.

I'd say the smell is most similar to that of a skunk, but a little more mild.
