I was surpirsed to hear my friend telling me about her girlfriends that have initiated contact going beyond a normal massage with their male massage therapist. I can't imagine this ever happening in the settings that I've received massage from male therapists. They have always been professional and on the up and up. I'm not interested in doing this myself but I'm wondering how one would even initiate this? Do you play it subtle and wait for the guy to make a move or are you more blatent with it all? Is this sort of thing happning more than I think or is my friend exaggerating? I've heard plenty of stories about male therapists stepping over the line and female therapists that are little more than prostitutes but little seems to be said about female clients initiating and encouraging a more intimate encounter. Is this really going on? My friend makes it sound like it's no problem. Have you done this or know of someone who has?

No, am not the one interested in this type of encounter. My friend seems to think it goes on all the time however. What's up.

well, I have been to a massage therapist because of back problems...I personally enjoy these sessions because I believe that they are not only therapeutic for my back, I also LOVE the feeling of his hands over my body...my head actually spins and my fingers tingle...would I let him on, absolutely not, but I do relish privately for about an hour and leave a happier woman!!!

If it is initiated from the client to the therapist, it is up to the therapist to stop the conversation. Female therapist put up signs that say that if you even hint, the session is over and there is no refund. But a male therapist probably would relish the thought of a little extra rub here or there. If there is real sexual contact, then a law is broken. I would say that this probably doesn't happen too often. But probably with her it happens all the time.

Play it subtle I think. In my experience, there is a thin line between a male 'therapist' massaging your back and bottom, thighs and shoulders... to going on a date later on meaning
sex.
Whats the difference if the female client makes a move? They're only human. True it can be an awkward situation. But remember its simply a hot blooded man touching and rubbing your body. Unless hes homosexual, if there is attraction there, whats going to stop him from asking you for your number?

It sounds like a problem. If the massage therapist initiated the boundary cross then he would be at fault, however they might feel that since the client came on to them, they are not at fault.
