Only if the fish eat the broken glass. Thermometers haven't been made with mercury in decades. All materials in any thermometer these days is harmless to both you and your fish.

I doubt it. Thermometers aren't made with mercury anymore. Nowdays they're made with alcohol. And such a minute amount of alcohol in the tank won't hurt anything. I've broken a few without reprocussions.

Yes , plus the mercury is very dangerous for people.. I would drink the water
