No, but there used to be a long time ago. Bears as well!

I read a great article the other day about reintroducing wolves into the wild in Britain - probably just Scotland for starters. Pretty cool in theory - although I don't think our pet cats will think so!

Here's some info on the proposed reintroduction:

No there are no Wolves left in the wild anymore in the UK. There was a few left about 2- 3 Hundred Years ago until Killed off. A few individuals in recent years brought some to Britain some are in Zoos and some People have them as Pets but they are Cautious about bringing them for walks on Leads. In Ireland a few People have them as well and have tamed them and they are in the Northern Counties. Good Luck.

No the last 1 was killed in the mid 18th century in Scotland.

Some people want to reintroduce them but it will probably never happen.

Always introduce things in Scotland, don't they? The Poll Tax, wild wolves, you name it...

No we killed them all. Like we kill everything that threatens our petty little lives. Next it will be the fox, then anything else that stands in our way and we will be left to marvel at them in zoos and wonder why they aren't around anymore...

Not yet but there has been talk recently of reintroducing them.

I doubt it would ever be accepted by farmers though!
