I have a1999 ford Ranger that the rear speakers don't work and the dome light doesn't work, what would cause no power to be in the back half of the truck?

First check your fuses in your fuse box for the dome light !

Is the stereo getting electricity?

Speakers are usuallly wired from the stereo. So if your rear speakers don't work, check to see if someone adjusted the Fader on the Stereo. (Fader adjusts the signal to go between the rear and front speakers)

If that doesn't work, possible break in a wiring harness. Though usually they don't wire speaker wire with electrical wiring due to noise.

no longer saying its your fault yet whilst installation audio equipment you will have bumped, unplugged the door sensor someway. i could look at a wiring diagram and notice which wires run to the door sensor. probable didnt reinstall the door panel each and every of how wisely and is retaining the door slightly open which will activate the dome mild on, there would desire to be a dome mild override swap with the aid of your headlight swap to quickly resolve this subject and not drain your battery
