This is just that, and the media spotlight is just starting to shine of VT. The next few days will be wall to wall.

Why the media circles like a vulture over a carcass? Many reasons. Competition, ratings. Tragedy is always fodder for news. The Network news beast must be fed.

none of the media are happy that this happened of course. It is the deadliest in US history.. Agreed, the media over-reacts at times but they are basically reporting the news.
I didn't like the new coverage on Anna Smith because some of them made her out to be an icon, which I so disagree with.

I don't think ,the media "loves" tragedy like this one , maybe they exaggerate at some points. The RECORD is sad because only in America this could happen. Guns ,guns, guns. For this stupid right given to everyone to carry a gun many innocent people lost their lives today.

Who cares if they are having a field day with this, if they didn't have such a big story on it, we would most likely not know about it. It is a huge story though. How sad that all those people died.

So we do not need to be told about this? Or would you put restrictions on our free press? You just like to complain. Go back to sleep!

Yes, they love it. One of them has already mentioned that he is "afraid" of copycats.
