The character of Mario, was partially based on the building supervisor of Nintendo of America's first building in the early eighties. When Shinguru Miyamoto went to American to create donkey kong he used him as the inspiration for the main character.

he has a mismatched moustache and hair because he has been using just for men, with x-grey science, to target only those grey hairs. unfortunately, he ran out, and then they only had black left, for his moustcahe.
