I'm sure you've been told, "In order to be loved and accepted by others, you must first love and accept yourself." It's easier said than done. But why is it so hard to just accept and love yourself as you are?

because you are fully aware of your failings and flaws, these are not so apparent in others. But it is true, to be able to fully love and accept another, one must first love an accept oneself, flaws and all.

I guess it's because it's just too easy to keep judging ourselves.
But look at it from a loving Fathers point of view.
He has a child who can't feel his love because she doesn't feel lovable inside.He has forgiven her all she has ever done,in fact he doesn't even remember any of it.He's left her an inheritance unlike anything we could ever imagine and has done so many things to insure she's happy and well taken care of.Our Heavenly Father even died for us to save us from death ourselves because he loves us beyond comprehension.He's alive in Heaven right now wanting more than anything for you to accecpt his love and love him in return.How happy would it make him if you are kinder to yourself and allowed yourself some of the love he intended for you to have.
Please stop being so hard on yourself and care about who you are.You deserve happiness and you deserve to be loved.

the world teaches us otherwise. You must accept yourself as you are before you can accept others. that's not profitable in today's society.

Because you look for faults in your self and easily find them and you look for good in others and easily find it. So basically you easily find what your looking for when it comes to faults

i have that same problem... ppl that tend to love others instead of themselves are more clingy and dependent on the other... also it is harder to let go... if he leaves or cheats on u... it isnt healthy...
